It’s like slowly dripping molasses. That’s the “visual music writing” way of describing River Tiber’s “Illusions,” and so it’s a surprise to see how seamlessly Pusha T fits into the picture. For a guy that raps with the force of a snare drum, it should be oil and water in this pillowy environment, but he pulls it back just enough to play along. Apparently this was a Red Bull Sound Select mandated collaboration — whoever’s in charge of these things deserves some props, although I still have no idea what their endgame is.
