5 years later, a new Ratatat song.
One of the effects of Coachella’s gargantuan size and place as the pre-eminent music festival of this generation is that it’s become a publicity platform. It was clear when Daft Punk ran a commercial for Random Access Memories a few years back. Ratatat isn’t doing it that big, but they did capitalize on their Coachella set by immediately publishing their new song.
It’s got enough freshness to feel like an evolution but still the classic manipulation of guitars to sound like a Ratatat composition. Who knows when the new album is coming out! It could be tomorrow, it could be in the summer. This is the world we live in now!
